Books! Enid Blyton was Diya’s favourite, then Geronimo Stilton, TinTin, Ruskin Bond and Nancy Drew.
Music. Diya played the keyboard for her church children's choir, she was learning the violin too. Her Favorite Hymn — In Christ Alone... she listened to it often when in bed.
Art. She dabbled with painting, her first painting cheerfully bought at a sale by Aunty Sheela.
Cooking and cookery shows. Diya baked cakes and muffins, the icing on the cake was the icing on the cake!
Home food. Diya loved her Saturday afternoon lunch sambar and red beans. Other days she enjoyed mummy's lunch. Snack Box had to be exotic sandwiches from Amma. She made sure her friends enjoyed it too.
Dancing. Secretly filmed her elegant dance moves. Orchestrated her cousin’s wedding events.
Her brother. Nathan is Diya’s troublesome (but doting!) little brother whom she feels responsible for. He follows her every instruction. She loved it when her friends tell her she has ‘such a cute brother’.
